I was recently interviewed by Tim ‘Lawdawg’ Lawson for the Veteran Empire Podcast and it just went live last night! We chat about some of my experiences, my inspirations, methodologies and even my caffeine sources!
Huge thanks to the whole Veteran Empire crew for this opportunity to tell a little the community more about myself and what I’m up to!
1, 2, Many: Veteran Suicide – Kickstarter
I watch a lot of Kickstarters go up, mostly in one of the various gaming industries, some in product design or even art projects that require a little extra funding to see their work realized more fully. This one hits home a lot more than all of those.
22 Veterans commit suicide EVERY SINGLE DAY. The “1, 2, Many” project aims to get deeper than the superficial stats and get to the people affected by this tragic reality. In order to better understand what is happening to our community, Tim is interviewing vets who have survived the struggle with suicide, the families of those vets who have lost their fight, and professionals from around the country.
Head over to the ’1, 2, Many: Veteran Suicide’ Kickstarter page and read more about this important project and, if you can, Donate.
And please share this to as many people as you can. This one’s important.

I’ve had this drawing of Metalhead sitting in my computer colored and finished for a while, but I meant to get a background in for him. I put it off after my computer crashed out while I was working on the lines, and this weekend I finally got back to it.
My version of Metalhead is a mix of the old and new versions, picking out details I liked from both and mashing them together. The background was just some quick lines I threw in with photoshop based on some random references I found around the web. Lots of color shifts, textures and lighting effects with the use of layers once the flats were in. These sort of things are fun for experimenting with different combinations of those things.
New wallpaper! It’s been a while since I’ve put together one of these, this time a little more USMC specific.
